Kirti Nagar is one of West Delhi's most established and self-contained neighbourhoods. For girls moving to Delhi — whether for college or work — it strikes an excellent balance between safety, connectivity and everyday convenience. You won't need to travel far for anything you need on a daily basis.
This guide is written by the team at Kuriosity Homes, who have been based in Kirti Nagar since 2019. We've watched hundreds of women settle in here, and this is the honest, practical guide we wish everyone had on day one.
Getting Around — Transport and Metro
Kirti Nagar is one of the most accessible areas of West Delhi, especially if you commute by metro. Three Blue Line stations are within a short distance:
| Station | Line | Distance | Commute |
|---|---|---|---|
| Kirti Nagar | Blue Line | 1.5 km | ~18 min walk or 5 min auto |
| Ramesh Nagar | Blue Line | 1.8 km | ~22 min walk or 6 min auto |
| Moti Nagar | Blue Line | 2.0 km | ~7 min auto |
From Kirti Nagar Metro, you can reach Rajiv Chowk (Connaught Place) in 12 minutes, Noida in 40 minutes, and the IGI Airport in about 50 minutes via an interchange. The Blue Line is one of Delhi's busiest and most reliable metro lines — it runs until around 11:15 PM and starts at 6 AM.
DTC buses connect Kirti Nagar to all parts of Delhi throughout the day. Autos and cabs (Ola/Uber) are always available from the main road and ring road, which is just minutes away. Rapido bike taxis are popular for quick short-distance commutes.
The stretch between Kirti Nagar Metro and the main residential area is well-lit and relatively busy until late. That said, we always recommend auto or cab travel after 9 PM.
Hospitals and Healthcare
One of the biggest concerns for girls and their families when choosing a PG is proximity to good healthcare. Kirti Nagar is well-placed on this front:
- BLK Super Speciality Hospital — one of Delhi's top private hospitals, about 3 km away in Patel Nagar
- Jaipur Golden Hospital — multi-speciality, approximately 4 km away in Rohini Road
- Mata Chanan Devi Hospital — well-regarded government hospital, easily accessible
- Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital — large government hospital connected via metro
- Local pharmacies: Multiple 24-hour pharmacies within walking distance of the PG
Markets and Shopping
You will not need to go far for groceries, clothing or household essentials. Kirti Nagar has multiple shopping options within walking distance:
- Kirti Nagar Furniture Market: Famous across Delhi. While you may not need furniture, the surrounding market lanes have everything from grocery stores to salons to stationery shops.
- Local vegetable and general markets: Open daily from early morning. Fresh vegetables, fruits and daily essentials are all within a short walk.

- Tilak Nagar Market: Lively and affordable local market, 10 minutes away.

Neighbourhood Safety
Kirti Nagar is a residential and commercial area that tends to stay active until late evening. Here's what makes it reasonably safe:
- Main roads and the market strip are well-lit and busy even after 9 PM
- Kirti Nagar Police Station is within the area
- Ring Road access means autos, cabs and buses are always close by
- The residential lanes around the PG are quiet and have a community feel
Our PG is located at Block I, House 32, Kirti Nagar — in the heart of everything described in this guide. If you'd like to see the area for yourself, book a free visit and we'll show you around.
